The Grayson-Jockey Club EQUINE MEDICAL RESEARCH DATABASE is located at the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, Inc. offices at 821 Corporate Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40503.

In 1984 the Foundation realized that an accurate source of equine medical research was not readily available. At that time a decision was made by the Foundation to compile all research information obtainable, and to devise a computerized system for storing such data in a manner that would be available for instant recall.

We realize that our database is not perfect, but we believe it contains over 90% of all completed significant equine research. Over the years the responses we received when seeking updates and abstracts of research from our sources around the world was extraordinary.

This EQUINE MEDICAL RESEARCH DATABASE contains abstracts of 1474 equine medical research projects.

Researchers and deans are urged to notify the Foundation if any project included should be deleted for any reason.

Any DATABASE is only as accurate and complete as the data contained therein. We are totally dependent on research institutions and investigators from around the world to furnish us accurate and complete information.

Any research information not contained in this DATABASE is omitted only because the information was not received by the Foundation. We do not judge the quality of the research nor do we edit the abstracts received. We only attempt to verify the scientific legitimacy of the information sources.
